An exciting opportunity for an experienced production planner to join a manufacturing company based in South Wales. You will be tasked with developing and implementing an integrated business management process through which the overall organisation continually achieves focus, alignment and synchronisation

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to optimise the value chain relationships to deliver value and provide transparency to our constraints and opportunities.
  • Manage the monthly S&OP governance with direct responsibility for demand planning and scheduling across the operations/supply chain including Materials and manufacturing shortages
  • Lead weekly meetings and governance; tracking progress to plan and identify corrective actions when necessary, while collaborating with all stakeholders.
  • Establish demand planning measures and controls with a close loop root cause and corrective action process to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Translate projected demand forecasts, incoming volume, and forward order volume into procurement/production demand plans with a time-phased delivery schedule.
  • Work closely with supply chain & suppliers to ensure vendor supply plans meets demand plan

Skills

  • In depth experience running Sales and Operations Planning processes.
  • Extensive experience in developing and deploying S&OP.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organisation, decision making, written and verbal communication and presentation skills to working level as well as senior management level.
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills at all levels, especially cross-functionally and at peer and senior management level.
  • Track record of delivering results in pressurised, complex and demanding environments.
